Video Editing & Content Creation
Run the content that lives on our LinkedIn and Instagram — write it, shoot it, cut it, ship it.
About the role
Read this before you apply. Mentix is early. There is no fixed salary attached to these roles today, and we are not going to dress one up as something else. What you get instead is written in full under "What this pays" — a share of what the product earns, work you own end to end, and a certificate for the engagement.
If you need guaranteed monthly money right now, this is honestly not the right role for you, and we would rather say that here than waste your time.
What this role actually is
Mentix has two channels that matter right now: LinkedIn and Instagram. This role owns what goes out on both.
That is the whole loop, not one slice of it — deciding what to make, writing it, editing the video, cutting the reel, writing the caption, posting it, and looking at what actually performed. Placement prep, DSA, interviews, student life: the subject matter is there. The job is turning it into content people stop for.
You do not need studio gear. A phone, decent editing software and taste will get you further here than equipment will.
What you'll do
- Plan and run the content calendar for LinkedIn and Instagram
- Edit reels and short-form video — hooks, pacing, captions, sound
- Write posts and captions that sound like a person, not a brand account
- Repurpose one idea across formats instead of starting from scratch each time
- Watch the numbers and let them change what you make next
What we're looking for
- You can edit short-form video — Premiere, CapCut, DaVinci, anything
- You write clearly and can hold attention in the first three seconds
- You already understand how LinkedIn and Instagram differ, and post differently for each
- Consistency: a few posts a week, every week, beats one great post a month
- Bonus — you're comfortable on camera
What this pays
Profit royalty
2% profit royalty — a share of what the app earns, not a fixed stipend
There is no fixed stipend for this role, and we're not going to imply one.
What is on offer:
- 2% of the app's profit, paid as a royalty for as long as your engagement runs.
- "Profit" means what is left after payment-gateway fees, infrastructure and direct running costs — not gross revenue.
- Paid out only once the product is profitable. It isn't yet, so assume ₹0 in the early months.
- The percentage and the terms are put in writing before you start.
What you are really taking away on day one is a published portfolio, real audience numbers and complete ownership of two channels — which is a great deal more than most content internships hand you.
Perks
- Profit royalty — a standing 2% share once the product is profitable
- Certificate on completion
- A public body of work with real view counts attached to your name
- Full editorial ownership of both channels
